You Make Me Smile!!

Hi to all my new friends and guests just passing by.

I haven't uploaded any cards for a few days, but that's not to say I haven't been busy! I've made 10 cards/notelets for a dear friend who likes to write rather than use the phone (more personal she says).    I'll upload pictures later as I need to make a box to put them into.

I've also made this card for bit of stress relief, I think I may have gone a bit over the top but I love it. I'm really pleased with it and hope that you are too! I used a digi image from the DigiStampBoutique called Coco, coloured with Promarkers, I then used stickles to the roses.
The stamp is from Pink Gem Designs. Martha Stewart punch, flowers are Prima and have stickles on them. Basic card stock and left over patterened paper. The ribbon, bling and pearls from stash.

Thank you for looking and any comments you leave would be lovely.
Take care and have a great Easter.

Male Card

Hi All

Hope everyone is ok? I've got a few male birthdays coming up and thought I should make a start on some cards. Male cards not the easiest of cards to create. So I trawled the internet for some images and came across this one from the Digistamp  Boutique. I really like this image so I treated myself and thought it would serve the purpose. Then had to think hard what sort of papers and layout to use. So going through my 12 x 12 papers I found these and thought I would combine them.  I'm really pleased with the end finish and I hope you like it too! The image was coloured with Promarkers, pale blue card stock and papers from basic grey (stripes) and My Minds Eye (spotty), buttons from stash and computer generated sentiment.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Make a Wish

Hi Bloggers,
Well after spending the afternoon on an English course and doing tests. I came home and needed to chill. I know my home looks like a bombs hit it, I can't see my dining room table for craft stuff, the floor has paper bits all over it. So what do I do? Yep I made another card, so much more relaxing!

So I've gone and made another girlie pink card, my favourite kind of card. For those of you who don't know I do craft on a bit of a budget, the only gadget I have is a Sizzix embossing boutique and I use a craft knife most of the time. So I find I am quite limted on the type of layout I use. I'm really pleased with the way this has turned out. The image came from the digi stamp boutique, coloured with promarkers, I embossed the pink card stock using Sizzix daisy pattern, paper from we R memory keepers, flowers are Prima, ribbon, pearls and bling from stash, the sentiment was computer generated.

I would like to thank all my followers for the lovely comments you have left on my cards, it means a lot.

A Couple of New Cards

Hi All,
I was so bored last night, there was total rubbish on the television. I thought I would knock out some cards. Must admit not much thought went into them, but I think they turned out ok. One is going into the SSC over on Docrafts, flowers and bugs is the theme. I used a free digi image coloured with Promarkers, Sunshine Capsule Collection from Papermania, ribbon, buttons and bling from stash.

The other card I was trying out my new embossing folder from Cuttlebug . It's great! The card was so simple to make I chalked the embossed flowers, mounted on to lime green card stock then added the flower from stash and hung a butterfly with pearls onto a chain. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.

Both cards are sentiment free and I will add when required.
Thanks for looking and apologies for the poor photogrphy.

My New Stamp (just love her)!

Good morning,

Well I have been a busy bee, I made this card yesterday with a new stamp I've just bought. It's from the Wild Rose Studio, my favourite shop Imagine that.. has just started stocking them. Thanks Emma, just love her (that's the stamp...lol).  I stamped the image with memento ink and coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are very pale pink bazzill card stock and making memories 'flutter' both were punched using Martha Stewart. The flowers, ribbon and pearls were from stash, the sentiment I printed.

I hope you like it, I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. Thanks for looking.

Forever Friends Challenge

Good morning ,

Here is my card for the Forever Friends challenge over on Docrafts. The challenge was to use embossing, ribbon, a sentiment, 3 flowers and 2 brads or gems. I used the Papermania card blank, chalked the image and glittered the glass. Embossed with Sizzix daisy pattern, everything else came from my stash. I hope you like it, I'm not too sure myself!
Thanks for looking and any comments you like to leave.
Have a great day!

Thank You Card!

Good morning,

I've had a busy few days this week but have managed to fit in cardmaking. I've made this card for LMC90 over on Docrafts. It's a sketch challenge.  I think it's turned out quite well, not sure about the ribbon though, but I thought it needed another colour.
The card was yet another free digi image coloured with Promarkers, papers and flowers from Papermania Capsule Collection and green bazzil card stock. Buttons, gems and ribbon from stash, sentiment was a stamp.

I hope you all like it. Any comments you wish to leave will be lovely. Thank you for looking and have a great weekend everyone.

SSC Card over on Docrafts

Afternoon everyone, what a beautiful day. I made this card with a bit of inspiration from the beautiful day it is. The card is for the SSC over on Docrafts. The brief was to cut an image or stamp into three or more parts. I did struggle with what image to use as I don't have a lot of stamps suitable. I found this one and thought it may work. I also thought the birthday card would make a great card for a girlie! Also for a change it's not a square card.

The image is free download coloured with Promarkers cut into three and mounted on to green co-ordinations card stock. The background paper is Bella blvd. I love this paper so bright and cheery.
Flowers, brads and bling from stash. Happy Birthday sentiment computer generated.

Thanks for looking and have a great spring day!

Baby Cards

Hello All
Well I did promise two more cards today that I made yesterday. I've made a couple of new baby cards for my card box. I used the image of Newton bear (don't you just love him!), I know I do, plus he was free. Very simple and quick to make. He's been coloured with Promarkers, mounted on to pale pink and blue bazzil card stock. The pink card had papers from the Daisy and Dandelion range and the blue from Forever Friends. Ribbons and buttons from stash. Computer generated sentiment. I'm really pleased with them and I hope you will be too.
Now off to make a few cards for challenges over on the Docrafts website.  So have a good week all.

Easter Card

Hi Everyone

I've been a bit bored today, so I thought what could I do. Well cardmaking won.

I've made three cards today and the first is an Easter card. I'm not an overly religious person but I have friends that are, so thought I would make a start on Easter cards.
I'm not sure whether I like it or not, so I thought I would share it with you and any constructive comments would be appreciated.

The image came from Bugaboo which I coloured with Promarkers. As the image was a circle I thought I would cut it out. I then cut out the middle (not easy, but used a very sharp craft knife). I then mounted it on to hammered card which I had chalked with a very bright yellow. This was mounted on to paper from Papermania's Capsule Collection. I embossed yellow cardstock and then mounted all the parts on to 6 x 6 square card. Ribbon and bling came froms stash. Computer generated sentiment.
I'll upload the other two cards tomorrow.
Have a good week my friends.

Another Card for My Box!

Well I have been a busy bee today and made yet another card.  I like this one so much I thought I would share it with you straight away.
I'd like to thank Janet from Pink Gem Designs for the lovely free digi image. She's called 'Tulip Heart Milly'. I coloured her with Promarkers. I cut out the heart and mounted it on to hammered card which I chalked to get a good background effect. This was mounted on to paper from Basic Grey. Then this was all mounted on to very pale pink card stock. The flowers were punched with Woodware punches. I thought the card was lacking so I added the ribbon and a large button threaded with the ribbon. Then added the bling.

I hope it looks ok?  Thank you for looking and any comments you wish to leave.

Wedding Anniversary Card

Hi All
I have this evening made this card for my Aunt and Uncle  who are celebrating their 52nd yep 52nd wedding anniversary later this month.
As my photography is pretty bad I decided to scan this card, unfortunately this hasn't turned out too well either!
To make the card I used a free digi image (apologies I can't remember where it came from)
I coloured the image using Promarker pens. The middle of the coloured flowers have very small diamantes.
Blue card stock
White card stock and embossed with swiss dots.
Flowers punched using Woodware punches and blue pearls to the centre.
The sentiment computer generated.
Blue pearls from stash.

Now I'm not sure which one to give, as I like them both.
I decided to make another one as I had a spare image. Don't like to waste things!

Thank you for looking and any comments you wish to leave.

Food Challenge over on Docrafts

I made this card for a challenge over on the Docrafts website. I really enjoyed making this.

The papers are from Doodle Design Inc, I embossed the cardstock using Sizzix embossing boutique.  The flowers were cut using the Woodware flower punches. The digi image was a free image from Digital Doodling and she is called 'Tilly sitting on a cupcake'. I coloured her with Promarkers. I'm still getting used to them. The pearls and ribbon came from stash.

Thanks for looking and any comments you wish to leave.
